Fun Friday with Yummy Lollies

Hooray for Friday!  Not that it really matters because most of my days look pretty much the same.  BUT to start the weekend right I am going to announce the winner of the Grace Adele gift certificate giveaway.  Congrats Donna!
I will be emailing you the details.

Now onto the fun!!  Today we made some lollipops.  I could only find sugar free Jolly Ranchers so they aren't as good as the regular ones and took a lot longer to melt but she didn't know the difference.   I found this idea from Pinterest of course.

You line up the Jolly Ranchers next to each other like so on Parchment paper.  Put it in a preheated oven set at 200 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes.

Keep a close eye on them because once they start to melt, they melt pretty fast.  Once they are melted, swirl lollipop sticks in them and let them cool and harden.  I didn't realize my sticks were so long.  It still worked out though.

Super easy and guaranteed smiles!  Cindy is too impatient to enjoy helping me make the lollipops but I am sure when she is older this will be something we both can enjoy making.  Maybe adding some Pop Rocks on top before the lollipops fully harden.  Oh the possibilities!

    1. Neat. Are the lollipops hard or chewy? It reminds me of stained glass cookies.
